86 -Eighty Six– (Japanese: 86-エイティシックス-, Hepburn: Eiti Shikkusu) is a manga adaptation by Motoki Yoshihara, serialized in Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine from February 16, 2018, to June 2021. It’s based on a Japanese science fiction light novel series by Asato Asato, illustrated by Shirabii, which began in February 2017 under ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko imprint. Yen Press licenses the series in North America.

The manga has been collected into three tankōbon volumes. Three spin-off manga series were also created: 86: Operation High School by Suzume Somemiya (June 2020 – August 2021), 86: Fragmental Neoteny (April 2021 – October 2022), and 86: Mahō Shōjo Regina Lena ~Tatakae! Ginga Kōkō Senkan San Magnolia by Suzume Somemiya (starting March 2023).

On July 6, 2022, it was announced that the main manga was canceled due to Yoshihara’s health issues. An anime adaptation of 86 manga by A-1 Pictures aired from April 2021 to March 2022.
